AICEP and DANOTEC organize from 10th to 12th October in Lisbon, the annual Convention of the AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD). The Association has 28 member associations in 20 countries, representing more than 2,000 companies with approximately 80,000 suppliers that generate an annual turnover of 163 billion euros.
The ASD Convention is the largest and most important event of the sector in Europe, which takes place annually in October in one of the different countries of origin of the constituent associations.
This event involves a total of 1,000 people, of which 530 delegates representatives of European associations, in addition to members of the boards of Directors of Prime Contractors, European Commissioners and members of the European Parliament. Additionally, high level representatives from European and international bodies will also be present.
In 2012, for the first time, the ASD Convention will include a Technology Forum, which aims at offering a real opportunity for networking, the exchange of business and technical information and the promotion of cooperation in the area of Ideas and Talent, among the participating companies and research and education establishments.
